What do you do to bring yourself out of a “funk”? Or keep yourself upbeat when you feel at your best? Everyone is different, but there is usually something we can learn from everyone. Over the years we have to become more aware of what keeps up moving forward. For the two questions, to begin with, your answer may be the same. For example, the right music can both uplift your mood or keep you building on that inspiration or motivation. Living in Florida, we have some of the greatest opportunities to reset, unwind, and/or to just be in awe of beautiful life can be.
People in all sorts of walks of life are finding themselves overwhelmed with life. It may be all for all different reasons, but at the end of the day- many are feeling overwhelmed, overwhelmed with the state of this pandemic that impacts so many aspects of our lives (I’m confident that you have your large list). Overwhelmed with all of the change that does not seem to stop or just overwhelmed and cannot identify why. Now that we have identified a feeling of a potential source of fear, anxiety, sadness, hopelessness, helplessness, confusion, and even a feeling of failure- let’s bring it back to the facts. Breathe in a moment and say out loud with me….” I am doing the absolute best with what I have to work with right now”. Even if you do not feel it, believe it, remind yourself as much as you need to. And if you need an extra boost right now, say a statement of gratitude, go for a walk, watch an uplifting movie, do something nice for yourself, go take a walk, listen to your favorite song, or even something as little as taking 1 deep breath and letting it all out. Everyone has different ways of keeping themselves moving forward.
